Set up Shopify Pixel tracking

Shopify Pixel tracking lets Render Better collect and use ecommerce tracking events such as “purchases” and "added to cart" to help inform Render Better which optimizations are effective and to allow Render Better to provide enhanced analytics features. This information is crucial for continually providing a better experience to your customers and drive sales to your site.

To set up Shopify Pixel tracking, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to your Admin Settings, Customer Events, and click Add custom pixel

  2. Name the custom pixel something recognizable such as Render Better Analytics

  3. Under the Customer privacy section, select Analytics for Permission and Data collected does not qualify as data sale for Data sale

  4. Open the following URL in your browser and copy the code:
    1. https://<your-optimized-domain>/renderbetter-analytics/rb-analytics-pixel-inline.js
  5. Paste the Render Better pixel code into the Code section, click Save, then click Connect

After these steps are completed, Render Better should start to receive events from your store.
